For the past week i have been frequently thinking of this question: WHY have I been posted here? Being here for me has been quite torturous due to the following reasons:
- Indicated "yes" to some survey when I was sick and, at that time, didn't have a full grasp of what life is like as a commander.
- Passed IPPT when I normally failed. Even though pull-ups have always been the concern of the commanders, it is SBJ that I am worried about the most - because I can train for pull-ups by just pulling but I can't improve my SBJ without luck. For pretty the same reason I worry about the shuttle run too.
- Outfield. Camo on and camo off. Lots of digging too.
- Very strict commanders. Can forget about going home. Especially for a toilet cleaner like me.
But now I'm starting to realise I've been lucky. Heard that those who got posted to men are still being treated like recruits. As I type this I'm chatting (online, that is) with one of my BMT section mates. Heard his training is quite shiong, the facilities are quite bad, and he (along with me) misses BMT. So, to people who have not been enlisted...
DO enjoy your BMT because, compated to many other vocations, it probably IS the best. Really.
So I think I'll just try to stay positive (btw that's my section mate's MSN nickname) and survive what will go on my way - just get it %^$*()(ing done with.-leeyongyang
